Alyssa Gonzalez is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She is also a member of the Psychological Association of Alberta. Alyssa holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Sociology, and a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology. She has several years of experience working with Children, Adolescents, & Adults in various settings experiencing a variety of presenting concerns.
Alyssa Gonzalez is known for her person-centered therapy approach and is focused on working collaboratively with her clients on utilizing their strengths in achieving personal success and emotional well-being. Alyssa enjoys going for walks, traveling, cooking, bike riding, plants, and spending time with her family.
In her professional practice Alyssa offers counselling/therapy services to adolescents & adults employing an integrative therapeutic approach tailored to each individuals needs. Alyssa Gonzalez will draw on various therapeutic techniques including CBT, emotion focused, solution focused, strength based, and Mindfulness practices. Alyssa Gonzalez is a therapist who is easy to talk to and focuses on building strong relationships with her clients.
Alyssa does not over complicate and is a great ally for her clients. She is light hearted, and kind which allows clients feel comfortable with the counselling journey. Alyssa is a highly compassionate and empathetic individual, who has a deep respect for all persons that are pursuing counselling services to improve their overall quality of life. Alyssa believes in the importance of caring for your own mental health, as how you think and feel are always with you!
